IBM Db2 for z/OS Developer Extension developing/deploying/debugging NSP
Kendrick Ren , IBM
IBM Db2 for z/OS Developer Extension simplifies the task of developing applications that interact with the data in Db2 for z/OS databases.
Through the seamless integration with other extensions, the extension allows you to work with Db2 for z/OS using different languages (SQL, Cobol, Java, Node.js, Python, JCL, etc.) without leaving the workspace to perform various front end activities, like executing SQLs, developing/deploying/debugging native stored procedures, submitting JCLs, navigating and editing z/OS artifacts like datasets, issuing MVS commands, working on Docker/Jenkins, exploiting RESTful APIs, etc.
Db2 12 for z/OS - MFA Authentication, Encryption, and Audit Updates
Gayathiri (Gaya) Chandran, IBM
Abstract: Encryption and Multi-factor authentication are essential to meet regulatory compliance requirements. IBM Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for z/OS provides MFA capability for Db2. Db2 is enhanced to support MFA connections from distributed clients and Db2 for z/OS Tools. Encryption capabilities are enhanced to provide Db2 controls for enabling data set encryption. And new encryption built-in functions can allow data to remain encrypted in memory. This session discusses these security enhancements and new tamper-proof audit policies in Db2 12 for z/OS.
